Connecting Shopify to Otomate
In Otomate, you can connect your Shopify store in four different ways: when creating a catalog, in the catalog settings, when exporting a catalog, and in the profile settings.
Before connecting, ensure that you are logged into your Shopify account.
Connecting Shopify when Creating a Catalog
When creating a catalog, you can attach a Shopify store and import products from it.
- Click "Create New Catalog" on the Dashboard or in the left sidebar, click the "+" icon, and then select "Catalog".
2. Give the catalog a name and click the "Next" button.
3. Select Shopify as the import option.
4. Please click the "Create New Integration" button to connect your Shopify store.
5. Then enter an Integration name and your Shopify store URL. You can save this integration as a default Shopify connection by clicking the checkbox below, but it’s optional. Click the "Save" button to continue.
6. You will be redirected to Shopify Store Settings. Please click the "Install unlisted app" button.
7. You will be redirected back to Otomate, and the application installation will begin. Once the app is installed, click the "Close" button. Your products will automatically start importing from Shopify to Otomate in the background. The integration will be saved in the catalog and your profile settings, and you can use it for future exports and imports.
Connecting Shopify in Catalog Settings
You can create and add a Shopify store integration to your catalog in the catalog settings.
- Go to the Catalog settings.
2. Click the “+” button to add the Shopify store integration.
3. Click the "Create a new integration" button and select Shopify from the list.
4. Enter an Integration name and your Shopify store URL. You can save this integration as a default Shopify connection by clicking the checkbox below, but this is optional. Click the "Save" button to continue.
5. You will be redirected to Shopify Store Settings. Please click the "Install unlisted app" button.
6. You will be redirected back to Otomate, and the application installation will begin. Once the app is installed, click the "Close" button.
7. The integration is now saved in the catalog and your profile settings. You can use it for further exports and imports. Before exporting, we recommend setting up mappings, please read here how to do that.
Connecting Shopify in Profile Settings
You can add Shopify integration in the profile settings and use it for importing and exporting data.
- Click on the profile icon in the bottom left corner and navigate to the profile settings.
2. At the bottom of the page, you will find information about the integrations connected to Otomate. Click the "+" button to add the Shopify store integration.
3. Enter an Integration name and your Shopify store URL. You can save this integration as a default Shopify connection by clicking the checkbox below, but this is optional. Click the "Save" button to continue.
4. You will be redirected to Shopify Store Settings. Please click the "Install unlisted app" button.
5. You will be redirected back to Otomate and the application installation will begin. Once the app is installed, click the "Close" button.
6. The integration is saved in your profile, you can attach it to catalogs and use it for imports and exports. Before exporting, we recommend setting up mappings, please read here how to do that.
Connecting Shopify when Exporting a Catalog
You can seamlessly integrate your Shopify store with your catalog whenever you need to export products there.
- Click the export button on the catalog.
2. Select Shopify for export and click the "Next" button.
3. On the pop-up, click the "Create New Integration" button.
4. Enter an Integration name and your Shopify store URL. You can save this integration as a default Shopify connection by clicking the checkbox below, but this is optional. Click the "Save" button to continue.
5. You will be redirected to Shopify Store Settings. Please click the "Install unlisted app" button.
6. You will be redirected back to Otomate and the application installation will begin. Once the app is installed, click the “Close” button.
7. Before exporting, we recommend setting up mappings, please read here on how to do that. When everything is ready, click the export button and select Shopify. Your products will start exporting from Otomate to Shopify in the background. The integration will be saved in the catalog and your profile settings, and you can use it for future exports and imports.
